How to flip a video

Drop a clip, choose a direction, and download a mirrored MP4 — all in your browser.

  1. 1

    Drop in your video

Drag in or browse for an MP4, WebM or MOV. It stays on your device — nothing is uploaded.

  2. 2

    Choose a flip direction

Pick Horizontal to mirror left-to-right, or Vertical to mirror top-to-bottom.

  3. 3

    Flip the video

Hit Flip video. The first run loads a one-time ~32MB engine, then a progress bar shows the work happening right in your browser.

  4. 4

    Preview the result

See the mirrored clip and confirm it’s facing the way you want.

  5. 5

    Download your MP4

Download the flipped MP4, ready to upload, email or post — no watermark, no signup.

Flip Video — FAQ

Is this video flipper really free?

Yes — flip as many videos as you like, free, with no signup and no watermark. An optional Pro membership (NZ$9/mo) adds batch flipping and saved presets, but the free tool is fully usable on its own.

Is my video uploaded anywhere?

No. Your video is read and re-encoded entirely in your browser using a local video engine. The file never leaves your device — there is no server and nothing is stored online.

What’s the difference between horizontal and vertical flip?

A horizontal flip mirrors the clip left-to-right (like looking in a mirror), which fixes back-to-front selfie footage. A vertical flip mirrors it top-to-bottom for an upside-down, reflected look.

Why is my front-camera video back-to-front?

Phone front cameras often mirror the preview, so text and logos end up reversed in the saved file. A horizontal flip un-mirrors it so everything reads the right way around.

Will flipping reduce the quality?

The clip is re-encoded to a clean MP4 (H.264) so the mirror is baked in. Any change is minimal — it stays sharp for posting a listing clip or a product demo.

Does it work on my phone, and why is a big video slow?

It runs in any modern mobile or desktop browser. Because everything happens on your device with a single-thread engine, large or long videos can take a while — especially on a phone. For the quickest result, flip a shorter clip.
