Change Audio Speed — FAQ
Is this audio speed changer really free?
Yes — change the speed of as many files as you like, free, with no signup and no watermark. An optional Pro membership (NZ$9/mo) saves your go-to presets and adds batch processing, but the free tool is fully usable on its own.
Does changing the speed also change the pitch?
Yes. This is a tape-style speed change, so faster audio also sounds higher and slower audio sounds lower. It is not pitch-preserving — if you need the same pitch at a different speed, you’d want a dedicated time-stretch tool.
Is my audio uploaded anywhere?
No. The tool decodes and re-renders your file with the Web Audio API directly in your browser, so your audio never leaves your device. There is no server and nothing is stored online.
What can I use this for in everyday life?
