Is this PDF compressor really free?

Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?
No. Your PDF is read and rebuilt entirely in your browser, so the file never leaves your device. There is no server and nothing is stored online — ideal for contracts and anything confidential.
How much smaller will my PDF get?
It depends on what’s inside. Scanned or photo-heavy PDFs shrink dramatically on the Strong and Smallest levels; a lean text-only PDF may only save a little because there isn’t much to remove. The before/after readout shows your exact result.
Will the text still be selectable afterwards?
On the Light level, yes — it re-packs the file losslessly and keeps text searchable and selectable. The Strong and Smallest levels flatten each page to an image to save the most space, which makes text no longer selectable. Choose based on whether you need to copy text from it later.
Can I use it for a scanned contract or a proposal?
Absolutely — that’s exactly where it shines. A scanned multi-page contract or an image-rich proposal often drops well under an email limit, and because nothing is uploaded it’s safe for sensitive documents.
Does it work on my phone, and why is a big PDF slow?
