Is this audio reverser really free?
Yes — reverse as many files as you like, free, with no signup and no watermark. An optional Pro membership (NZ$9/mo) adds batch processing for lots of clips at once, but the free tool is fully usable on a single file.
Is my audio uploaded anywhere?
No. Your file is decoded and reversed locally using the Web Audio API in your browser, so it never leaves your device. There is no server and nothing is stored online — your recording stays private.
What can I actually use reversed audio for?
Plenty — backwards sound effects and stingers for videos, reverse-cymbal swells and risers for music, reversed speech for a spooky or mysterious vibe, or hunting for the “hidden message” in a song. A few Kiwi creators and DJs use it for transitions and reveals in their reels.
Which file formats can I reverse and export?
You can drop in any audio your browser can decode — MP3, WAV, M4A/AAC and OGG are all common. You can export the reversed result as either MP3 (small and shareable) or WAV (lossless, best for further editing).
Does reversing reduce the audio quality?
Reversing itself is lossless — it just plays the same samples in the opposite order. Exporting to WAV keeps full quality; exporting to MP3 re-compresses slightly, which is normal for any MP3 and stays perfectly fine for sharing.
Does it work on my phone?
