Does changing the pitch also change the speed?
No — that’s the whole point. This tool shifts pitch while preserving the tempo, so a track raised or lowered still runs at the original length and never speeds up or slows down. If you want a tape-style change where pitch and speed move together, use the Change Audio Speed tool instead.
Is this pitch shifter really free?
Yes — shift as many files as you like, free, with no signup and no watermark. An optional Paji Pro membership (NZ$9/mo) unlocks the full octave (±12), batch processing and saved presets, while the free tool covers ±7 semitones.
Is my audio uploaded anywhere?
No. Your file is processed entirely in your browser with a local audio engine, so it never leaves your device. There is no server and nothing is stored online.
How big a shift can I make?
Up to a full octave — ±12 semitones with Pro, ±7 on the free tool. Bigger shifts can start to sound a little artificial, so for natural results stay within a few semitones.
What would I use this for?
Common uses include nudging a backing track or sample into your own key, dropping a voice to a lower register or lifting it higher, fixing audio that was recorded slightly off, or having a bit of fun making a clip sound chipmunk-high or deep.
