No — the picture is stream-copied untouched, so it stays sharp and the file is quick to produce. Only the audio track is re-encoded at the new level, which keeps quality high.
Can I make a video completely silent?
Yes — set the slider to 0% or tap Mute to drop the audio to silence. If you want the track removed entirely rather than silenced, use the Mute video tool instead.
Does it work on my phone, and why is a big video slow?
It runs in any modern mobile or desktop browser. Because everything happens on your device, large or long videos can take a while — especially on a phone. For the quickest result, adjust a shorter clip.
